K THEORY,TYR, & KOMMON INTERESTS

As we enter 2012, pay close attention to a sly pair of audio architects that have been steadily crafting original sounds with emotional heft, rupturing basslines, and a broken beat technique that has become all their own. With an arsenal of chart-topping tracks including over 50 original productions & remixes produced since their debut in January 2011, K THEORY, have marked their definitive pathway through the electronic & bass music soundscape.

K Theory live performances take you on a journey through their broken beat world of dubstep, midtempo, drum n bass, & the hardest breakbeat you will ever experience. Complimented by endless melodies & unique blend of original productions, this San Francisco duo’s performance is not to be missed.

Seemingly incapable of exhaustion or sleep, the duo’s endless studio hours have resulted in several tours across the United States, with a majority of their appearances throughout one of California’s top bass capitals, San Francisco. Acclaimed, respected, and supported by the collective music community, their momentum is unshake- able, they are impossible to ignore.

TYR aka Grant Redmond is an 18 year old up and coming producer from Las Vegas, who recently relocated to Boulder, Colorado, one of the major “hot beds” of electronic music.

TYR’s debut into the blog scene began with the release of his first EP Eclipse which took off after being featured on big sites such as Fresh New Tracks. Following this TYR didn’t slow down at all, quickly releasing an original, Ozone, and his remix of Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now which was featured on the prominent site This Song is Sick.

Shortly after, TYR cranked out what has been called the “end all be all remix” of Avicii’s infamous song ‘Levels’. This remix exploded into the scene with blog hype from some of the biggest names and has racked up a cumulative hundred thousand views since its release on the 21st of December.

TYR continues to release big tunes such as his recent collaboration with Center Stage Classic’s own Proper Motion, featured as an exclusive release on Dubstep.net. His remix of Skrillex’s new track ‘Kyoto’ was #3 on EarMilk.com’s list of the Bangarang EP remixes.

Blogs have called TYR “the next big thing” and have said he has a “bright and shining future” ahead.
