Boulder-based quartet Jet Edison has quickly emerged as Colorado’s premier rock/fusion band on the scene today. Following their first year on the road, with headlining tours throughout the Rocky Mountain region and the Midwest, the band enters 2012 with no sign of slowing. In crafting their distinct genre-blending music, each member contributes a wealth of influences from modern rock, ’70s prog, old school funk, and ’80s dance music. Borrowing from so many styles, their original songs feature strong technical musicianship, varying time signatures, tempos, and dynamics while remaining grounded by thought provoking lyrics and talented improvisation. Together they create a sound as interesting and imaginative as it is groovy and danceable.
Jet Edison brings their unique approach to the modern jam scene and word of their captivating, high-energy performances has spread rapidly, gaining them recognition throughout the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Recently the group was nominated as Colorado’s Best Rock Band in the “Jam/Improv” category by Denver’s Westword Magazine for the second year in a row. With larger shows, more extensive tours, and exciting new originals on the horizon, Jet Edison continues to give audiences something to dance about all night long.
Jet Edison has been billed with such national acts as Particle, Orgone, Cornmeal, and Marco Benevento, and has performed and played with members of Colorado’s most established musicians and bands, a few being Vince Herman (Leftover Salmon), Joey Porter (The Motet), The Phix, Euforquestra, Mountain Standard Time, WhiteWater Ramble, Elephant Revival, and Kinetix.
“Flying across the Front Range on a mission to provide nothing short of a musical adventure, Jet Edison brings together individual influences from rock, funk, jazz and blues, to provide a jammy concert experience.”
