Conspirator, the full band featuring Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits, guitarist Chris Michetti, and a cast of the live music scene’s best drummers, has announced the 3-week “BLIZZARD OF BEATS TOUR – WINTER 2012” for February 2012 performances throughout Colorado and the Midwest.
The Blizzard of Beats Tour features top artists from the growing electronic music scene. After kicking off Winter 2012 on February 2 in Breckenridge, the band will spend a total of 10 days in Colorado – giving fans a great excuse to hit the slopes by bringing a string of live shows to the mountains before wrapping up their stint in The Centennial State with back to back shows in Boulder and Denver.
2011 has been a seminal year for Conspirator. Formed in 2004 by Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits’ keyboardist and bass player) along with New York producer DJ Omen, Conspirator has taken on many forms through the years. With the recent addition of virtuoso guitarist Chris Michetti and stalwart drummers Darren Shearer (the New Deal) and Mike Greenfield (Lotus), Conspirator has reached a new level.
As a full band, the music is hitting new highs, and with the addition of an arsenal of new material, crowds across the nation have begun to catch on. Conspirator can no longer be considered merely a side-project, but must be looked at entirely as its own entity.
Coming off of break-out performances at Ultra Music Festival and Nocturnal Festival, Conspirator has begun to catch the eye of electronic music aficionados everywhere. Refusing to be pigeon-holed into one genre, they explore the many realms of electronic music, effortlessly slipping between house, dub-step, drum and bass, and electro. Samples (aka Ben Samples), also known for his work in the live remix project Fresh2Death, is a Producer and Dj based out of Denver, CO. He creates and performs electronic dance music, including bass-heavy remixes of club and hip hop favorites, original glitch hop, soulful dub step, funky house or amalgamations of other styles. Starting his career as a DJ at a well known Colorado radio station covering various styles and genres with a focus on dance music and hip hop, Samples soon began creating his own hybrid of hip hop and dance music into a club sound that fits as well in theaters and festivals as it does on dance floors.
With a full length album released on Made in Glitch Records, EPs supported by Daly City Records, Simplify Recordings, and True Movement as well as tracks on Muti Music, Run Riot Records, Car Crash Set, Mambo Records, Old Tacoma Records, Global Vortex, and BomBeatz, Samples is one of the most sought out producers and remix artists in the Bass music scene with collaborations including some of electronic music’s most influential. Ranking among the top on charts on itunes, Beatport and Addictech has been Samples foundation to perform club, event and festival dates all over the country very often to audiences familiar with his music.
